Today is Easter Sunday, commemorating the Resurrection of Jesus, the most joyous festival of the Christian year. Because it means whosoever can live forever

At Easter, we celebrate the greatest Love the world will ever know -- the Love that offers hope and peace and life to anyone willing to accept it.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Jesus Christ is risen today,
Our triumphant holy day;
Who did once upon the cross
Suffer to redeem our loss.

NEW IN THE KITCHEN

PIG IN A BLANKET DAY

Pig in a Blanket Day is a day to eat a sausage wrapped in a pancake. Why? Because that's what Pig in a Blanket is. Somebody, somewhere decided that this was a very special treat to them. So, they created a special day to celebrate this culinary delight.

EASY PIGS IN A BLANKET

1 package hot dogs or smoked sausage links
1 can crescent roll dough

Preheat oven 400. Separate dough into triangles. Roll up links in dough, starting with the link at the wide end of the triangle. Place on ungreased baking sheet, with the tip of the crescent underneath or it will come undone a bit as the dough rises in baking. Bake for 10-15 minutes or till golden brown. Serve with cheese sauce to dip or ketchup for those with four and five-year-old connoisseurs

How can you tell which rabbits are the oldest in the group?
Answer: Just look for the grey hares.

Easter Sunday, a time to celebrate new life with maybe a new outfit, an Easter egg hunt, or just a prayer of Thanksgiving and a warm feeling. And I know somehow, somewhere, before the day is over, I'm gonna consume an entire chocolate bunny.

As you can see by the pictures we had a lovely day for our Easter celebration yesterday. It wasn't looking good with rain coming down when I woke, but by afternoon it was sunny and warm out. Thank the good Lord for his many blessings. And thank you DD and DSIL for having us all at their house to celebrate !
