ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
APRIL 17th, 2011
If you can't see the bright side of life, polish the dull side
It's SUNDAY!
Blah, Blah, Blah Day
Today just might be the blahest day of the year. The intent of this day is to do all of the projects and things that people have been nagging you to do.
So today's the day to finally run those errands, do those chores and, while you're at it, take care of the yadda yadda yadda as well.
The Dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you're willing to pay the price

STARTING THE DAY WITH A PSALM
Psalm 40 1-3
The Message
I waited and waited and waited for God
At Last He looked, finally he listened.
He lifted me out of the ditch
pulled me from the mud.
He stood me up on a solid rock
to make sure I wouldn't slip
He taught me how to sing the latest God song,
a praise song to our God.
More and more people are seeing this
they enter the mystery,
abandoning themselves to God
Dear Lord, when I lack trust. praise. and rejoicing in my life, Your Word puts a new song in my mouth. I believe Your Word is true, and I want to sing Your song.
The song comes from knowing You
Amen
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
It's National Cheeseball Day.
Talk about a fun food for a holiday! Cheese balls adorn the snack tables at parties and holiday events throughout the year. Don't forget the crackers or bread rounds to go with it. Today really is a special occasion!
Anytime Cheese Ball
2 (8 oz) pkg. Philly Cream Cheese
1 pound shredded sharp cheese
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1 pound processed cheese such as Velveeta
OR
1 small jar of Cheese Whiz
Garlic powder to taste
Leave cream cheese at room temp to soften. Then mix all ingredients together, and roll into a ball, roll in nuts/cheese or leave plain if desired. Wrap in plastic. Refrigerate to set. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU!
AROUND HOME
Even a mosquito doesn't get a slap on the back until it starts to work.

I'm still working at memory verses and hoping to do one the 1st and 15th of every month. I'm usually late with them, but am persevering.
This is the one for April 15th:
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!
Isaiah 30:18
I hope your Sunday is a great one and filled with some wonderful R and R too.
COUNTING THE DAYS
Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all.

65 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER!
Keep looking ON THE BRIGHT SIDE of things.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone near…
