ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
It's WEDNESDAY!
AND
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR DINO BOY!
May the dear Lord bless you today and always.
After a few early morning showers yesterday, we were blessed with sunshine and warmth. It was very windy though. Today we’ll be getting some more showers toward evening and into Thursday and Friday too.
We go over the HUMP today and take the downhill slide into the weekend. Only 2 more days till the weekend and only 2 more days of work.
From then on I’ll be on one permanent vacation!!
THINKING
Today is National Day of Hope, a part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month
Take even more care of the young people entrusted to you than if they were the children of a king

Everyone of us is an unique individual. Today let’s pause for a moment and think of one practical way today of showing our respect for others.
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
Wednesdays are Sandwich for Dinner Day at my house. And while I still have some Easter Egg Salad and some slices of ham leftover, I thought it might be nice to have something different.
These sandwiches have a rich, creamy chicken sauce that is rolled in croissants and baked to form delicious puffs.
2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
3 Tbs. chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
3/4 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese
6 Tbs. butter
3 10-oz. cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, slowly cook and stir skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, onion and garlic. Cook until onions are tender and chicken is lightly browned. In a medium bowl, blend chicken mixture, cream cheese and butter until creamy. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Unroll croissants and divide in half to create 12 rectangles. Place approximately one tablespoon of the chicken mixture on each rectangle. Fold into balls. Arrange balls on a large baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
PRAYERS
Gracious God, forgive us when we fail to recognize your gifts to us. Help us to see you at work, both when you pour out your blessings liberally and when smaller blessings fall gently into our lives
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
AMEN
AROUND HOME
All this lovely weather has really made a difference in our scenery for sure. There are now loads of little green leaves popping out on everything. Flowers are blooming and the grass is growing. Next week I may even be able to find some time to work in the yard.
Between the house, the yard and the camper I will be keeping busy. Just how much I’ll get done remains to be seen. I’m not hurrying for anything. Just taking my time.
I’ve got an appointment all set for Monday morning to sit down and sip that good coffee with my youngest sister. First things first ya know.
FAMILY
Just knowing that today is our Dino Boy’s birthday makes it a happy one for sure. He’s such a smart boy and loves nature and learning all about it too. That is how this grandson of mine got to be called Dino Boy. When he was little he started reading and learning all about dinosaurs and as far as I know still does.
I did hear from DS#1 Monday evening. He wanted to let me know they arrived back home safe and sound. They had a wonderful time visiting with DS#4 and his family and today I guess he’ll be going back to work. That won’t be easy I know.
