It's SUNDAY!
Just a few thoughts for you this morning. I'm slowly but surely getting things set up on my new laptop. Soon I hope to have all my stuff working just the way I like it. But right now I still have a ways to go.
As always I'm off to church this morning. I think we are supposed to have some clouds with a chance of rain. It'll be a day of rest for me as I'm going to have a busy week here at home. I've got lots to do so that I can get things ready to take to the camper next weekend.
I'm excited about seeing my little place in the woods once more. I sure have been missing it.
THINKING
Give God a chance to meet your needs. And when he does, don’t be afraid to tell someone else
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
It seems everyone is getting a little tired of roast, brisket and chicken, so today I've found a Sunday Casserole dish to try out.
Grease a large casserole dish, or two if you are feeding a lot of people, Wash, peel and cut as many potatoes and onions as needed, Layer them into the dish with the bacon, sliced, ie, layer of potatoes, layer of bacon, layer of onion till the dish is full - make a good amount of white sauce, Pout this over the other ingredients. Cook in a moderate oven till the potatoes are tender. This is a delicious meal. You can have green veg, ie.. beans or peas as a side, or a salad.
PRAYERS
Lord, help me to be fully alive to your holy presence.
Enfold me in your love.
Let my heart become one with yours.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
AROUND HOME
I did get a little bit of the flower beds cleaned up yesterday. I managed to fill one large bag full for the rubbish men to take away. It always amazes me how things continue to come back year after year. We did loose the flowering plum tree by my back door so that will have to be taken out and something planted in it's place but everything else seems to have made it through the winter.
The front porch still needs the winter grime cleaned off of it and I'm hoping to get that done sometime this coming week. Never a dull moment for me. Now that I don't go off to work, I'll hopefully be getting more done at home.
FAMILY
I got to chat on line with DS#6 the other night. It was so much fun as now we can see each other over the computer. I even saw our little Lucky guy and his mom too! This new computer has a lot of options that my old one didn't.
Most of my pictures and graphics are saved on my external hard drive and I haven't managed to hook it up yet so that I have my logo on my newsletter. Maybe later today I can get that done too.
COUNTING THE DAYS
71 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER !
5 DAYS UNTIL CAMPING SEASON BEGINS
Keep looking ON THE BRIGHT SIDE of things.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone near…
Love,
