ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
It's THURSDAY!
Mistakes are part of the dues one pays for a full life
Sophia Loren
My life is a full one and I do make mistakes for sure.
I do apologize for the typo in Monday’s newsletter. It was DDIL#5’s grandma that passed away. Here I am trying to give you the news from home and it was wrong. Sorry to be so confusing.
I know this wasn’t the first mistake I ever made and it won’t be the last either.
We’ll see…
THINKING
Who endowed the heart with wisdom or gave understanding to the mind?
Job 38:36
We have been made in God’s image (from which the word imagination derives), and no one outdoes God’s artistic flair, which is why people copy his art all the time. From a forsythia bush bursting with blooms, to a bowl of green apples, to clear vases of white tulips, they all drip with his creative involvement.
And yes, even bunnies!
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
Thursdays are Breakfast for Dinner Day!
A nice thing about breakfast for dinner, in addition to its affordability, is the flexibility of the meal. There are seemingly endless combinations of traditional breakfast foods that can be combined for dinner.
Bacon and Egg Pizza
5 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 ounces thinly sliced Canadian bacon (about 6 slices), fat trimmed and bacon cut in 1/2-inch-wide strips
2 cups (8 ounces) cherry tomatoes, halved
4 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded (1 cup)
1. Whisk eggs and salt until yolks and whites are blended. Pour over partially baked pizza crust. Top with bacon and tomatoes.
2. Bake 12 minutes or until eggs are just set. Sprinkle with cheese; bake 2 minutes longer or until cheese melts. A great brunch dish too.
PRAYERS
Lord Jesus, Help us to look for and bring out the best in all who share our lives this day.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
AROUND HOME
Once again I made it over the hump of my work week and thankfully it is the last week that I’ll be working. Today is the final day that I’ll spend with my replacement. We’ll be reviewing all I taught her and then Friday I’ll be in the office alone as she doesn’t work on Fridays at all.
It’ll be some cooler and raining today they say. Truly a BEACH kind of day.
I’ll be smiling today because I’ll be dreaming of being at the beach…
FAMILY
Easter bunnies we know come in all sizes and shapes so I’m sharing a few of them with you today.
