TODAY'S THOUGHT
It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure that you haven't lost the things that money can't buy
George Horace Lorimer
JUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Just for today: I will turn my attention to the needs of family and friends. I pray for them from a heart of love. I pray that all are well fed, clothed, and sheltered from the weather. I pray that every child has an opportunity to obtain an education and that every adult who is thirsting for knowledge has that longing satisfied. I pray for everyone who has lost a loved one and for those who are serving far from home

IT’S WEDNESDAY !!
OVER THE HUMP DAY!
This weekend coming up a lot of people will be celebrating Father’s Day and I will be away and not making what is my usual tribute to the fathers in my family. I do have 4 sons that are wonderful Dad’s and I also have 2 more sons and DSIL that are fathers at heart for sure. They love children and their nieces and nephews can tell you that they do a grand job of spoiling them when they get a chance.
So to all the Dad’s out there – HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! I am so proud of you and the great job you do of being a DAD.
Today is Wednesday and we go OVER THE HUMP and now are on the down side of the week ready to slide into the weekend. Sometimes it does seem a bit of struggle to get up and over but thankfully weekends do come.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Almighty God, help us to trust your love and power so that we may find peace in every storm
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
TODAY’S TRIVIA
Today is National Apple Streudel Day
Today is National Eat All Your Vegetables Day
National Men's Health Week is celebrated each year during the week up to and including Father’s Day, so it's a fitting time to encourage the men in your life to see their doctors. A health checkup can be a daunting prospect for any man, but the truth is, doctor visits and medical tests can lead to lifesaving treatments when diseases are caught in their early and most treatable stages
1885: The Statue of Liberty arrived in New York Harbor aboard the French ship Isere
1933: Vernon Presley, a sharecropper and a truck driver who hailed from Fulton, Mississippi, and Gladys Love Smith, a seamstress from Pontotoc County, Mississippi, were married. Less than two years later, they had twin boys, but the first, Jesse Garon, was still born. The second, Elvis Aaron, was okay and, in fact, did quite well
TODAY’S SMILE
Home is ...
The laugh of a baby, the song of a mother, the strength of a father, warmth of loving hearts, light from happy eyes, kindness, loyalty, and comradeship.
Home is the first school and the first church for the young. Here we learn what is right, what is good, and what is kind. Home is where we go for comfort when we are hurt or sick, where joy is shared and sorrow eased, where fathers and mothers are respected and loved, and where children are wanted.
Home is where money is not as important as loving kindness, and where even the teakettle sings from happiness.
That is the place called home
FATHERS
First graders were asked to draw a picture of God in their Sunday School class. Their finished products contained some interesting theology. One child depicted God in the form of a brightly colored rainbow. Another presented him as an old man coming out of the clouds. An intense little boy drew God with a remarkable resemblance to Superman. The best representation came from a little girl. She said, I didn’t know what God looked like, so I just drew a picture of my daddy
At a burning building in New York City’s Harlem, a blind girl was perched in the fourth-floor window. The firemen had become desperate. They couldn’t fit the ladder truck between the buildings, and they couldn’t get her to jump into a net, which she, of course, couldn’t see. Finally, her father arrived and shouted through the bull horn that there was a net and that she was to jump on his command. The girl jumped and was so completely relaxed that she did not break a bone or even strain a muscle in the four-story fall. Because she trusted her father completely, when she heard her father’s voice, she did what he said was best
TODAY’S REFLECTION
He also said, With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.
Mark 4:30-32
God has provided all of us with potential just like the mustard seed. It starts as a small, seemingly insignificant speck but grows to become shade for living things that would not have it otherwise.
TODAY’S ADVICE
Garlic is one of the world’s oldest medicinal plants. There is some evidence that using adequate amounts of this so-called stinking rose may be effective in lowering blood pressure and possibly cholesterol levels. Start with one clove daily
4 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER!
Delight yourself in the Lord
and He will give you the desires of your Heart
Psalm 37:4
May there be a miracle in YOUR life today
and may you have the EYES to SEE it!
I Love You All !!!
Be Blessed !!!
