ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
APRIL 16th, 2009
TODAY'S THOUGHT
There are the NOWS, WAS’S, and GONNA-BE’S. A NOW is the most precious thing you can have, because a NOW goes by with the speed of light. Let’s say you’re having a beautiful NOW that you want to hold on to forever. No matter how much you want to hold on to it, it’s going to be a WAS. A lot of people get stuck in and can’t let go of the WAS’S. Those WAS’S get heavy, and they start to decay into SHOULDA-COULDAS. And they never have time for the new NOW

JUST FOR TODAY
I will improve my mind. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration. I will not be a mental loafer.
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
TODAY’S QUOTE
No matter what accomplishments you achieve, somebody helps you

IT’S THURSDAY !!
This is the last day of my work week. I’ll be off to the camper after work.
The weather is supposed to be sunny and in the high 50’s. That sounds great to me. We’ve had a lot of rain lately and it’s time for it to take a break.
I’ve needed a vacation day for quite awhile now so I’m really going to enjoy my Friday off. DD and her hubby will be coming in to camp sometime Friday too and will bring my new deck furniture for me. I really wouldn’t be able to camp like I do without their help and that of DS#1 and his family too.
DS#1 and family should be coming in on Saturday and will be busy cleaning and opening up their camper which is what I did last weekend. I’m glad that much is behind me and I can just rest this weekend.
I’ll be back with the newsletter come Monday morning!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S SMILE
They think they can make fuel from horse manure... Now I don't know if your car will be able to get thirty miles to the gallon, but it's sure gonna put a stop to siphoning.
Billie Holliday
TODAY’S REFLECTION
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. Philippians 4:11
We often struggle to accept the Bible's teaching that contentment has nothing to do with our wardrobe, our bank account, or whether we have steak or fish sticks for supper. It is not material prosperity but godliness with contentment that the apostle Paul called great gain
God's in heaven –All's right with the world.

You had so many gold nuggets in this post today! I think the last phrase was the best -- May there be a miracle in your life today, and may you have the eyes to see it! -- You know what, Ma? Every day contains some miracles, I believe, if we take some time to look for them. Each day is special. Each day on Twitter I write to my friends, "Make today special, it is the ONLY today you will ever have." It reminds me and everyone else that there will be miracles for that day, if we only open our eyes to see them. And some of them we will have to make. We will have to be willing to stretch and grow when the Lord calls us to. Furthernmore, each days is important, and we need to live each day in the here and now. That kind of gets back to the first thing you said, about the "nows" in the first paragraph, it all ties together. Very sound teaching, and yes, very Catholic!
Take care my friend, :)
