Indeed, we are your hands’ own work
and yet into our handsyou give the care

In more ways than we can count
our work builds upor tears apart what came
from your own hand.
Keep us faithful in preserving
all you’ve given
Give us good and honest work to do
and rest at each day’s end.
Give us work that nurtures and sustains
Let those who labor work in peace,
in freedom without fearGive those in need a job to do
Let all our work and toil,
Amen
The end of labor is to gain leisure

THINKING
Just for Today
.. smile at a stranger.. listen to someone's heart
.. drop a coin where a child can find it
.. learn something new, then teach it to someone
.. tell someone you're thinking of them
.. hug a loved one.. don't hold a grudge
.. don't be afraid to say "I'm sorry"
.. look a child in the eye and tell them how great they are
.. look beyond the face of a person into their heart
.. make a promise, and keep it
.. call someone, for no other reason than to just say "Hi"
.. show kindness to an animal.. stand up for what you believe in
.. smell the rain, feel the breeze, listen to the wind
.. use all your senses to their fullest
.. cherish all your TODAYS

PRAYERS
Life is too short to wake up with regrets.. So love
the people who treat you right.. Forget about the
ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a
reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both
hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life
would be easy, they just promised it would be
worth it.

SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2010
The end of August sure was exciting. I'm happy to say our little Mr. Wonderful and his mom are doing just fine. He was born at 8:18 yesterday morning, weighing in at 8 lbs. 12 oz. and 20 inches long. Sporting curly hair and a dimple too!
Now we begin a new month and it's a special one for our family too as we celebrate 2 September birthdays and a wedding anniversary.
September is National Chicken Month, Baby Safety Month, Children's Good Manners Month, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, National Coupon Month, National Honey Month, Mold Awareness Month and National Honey Month.
September's birthstone: sapphire. Flower: aster or morning glory.
The Golden Rule advises me to treat others as I would like to be treated.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart ... and your neighbor as yourself

NEW IN THE KITCHEN

4. Remove from oven, pierce tops with a knife to let the steam escape, and allow to cool in pan for 5 minutes
.5. Remove from pan, and serve.
PRAYERS
Lord, I ask for the power of your Spirit in my life that I may live in such a way that I show kindness in another’s trouble, and courage in my own.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops inyour loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for usin our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
I heard on the news that the 2011 Farmers Almanac says it will be a kinder winter over all this year but perhaps a colder one too.
I read in this years Almanac for 2010 that snow is predicted before Thanksgiving and so I'm thinking it will be earlier than usual. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...
.I was finally able to finish up and give away one of my craft projects too. I made one for our little MR. WONDERFUL and also painted one for grandbabes # 12 and #13 too as I'd not painted anything for them yet.
I put each of their names and birth dates at the bottom.
FAMILYOur 'Little Ray" of Sunshine started Kindergarten this week so I'm sharing another back to school picture today. He has one of our September birthdays too.
So does his Mom! A special month for both of them.
Everyone is ready for a new school year!
