IT’S WEDNESDAY !!
Over the Hump Day!
It’s now halfway through this work week. It’s supposed to be a rainy day again and it’s also the day of DDIL#5’s grandmother’s funeral. Seems like rain and funerals always go together. My prayers go with her and her family at this sorrowful time.
Overnight, besides rain, we had some strong winds bringing in another cold front. Thankfully the long range forecast says it’ll be partly sunny for Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is the fall festival and Chili cook off at the campground. I guess we’ll appreciate some sunshine for that for sure.
Work continues to be busy for us and we keep getting new jobs to do right along. The trouble is that all of them are outside jobs and we’ll need some nice weather in order to do them. Hopefully there is a nice Indian Summer coming for all of us.
Take good care all!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Bless me, Lord, with eyes that see Jesus more clearly, ears to listen to his call, and courage to follow him faithfully. Help me to be more like Christ, I pray

IT’S TUESDAY !!
Monday was a mostly sunny day. We did have a cool breeze blowing and some clouds too, but mostly it was sunny. Sunshine always improves my outlook.
The full moon was very bright and lit the way to work yesterday morning. October’s traditional name is Hunter’s Moon, though this year’s October moon has the distinction of being the Harvest Moon, because it falls closest to the autumn equinox
I was reading some tips on line for preventing the flu and one of the things they recommended, besides washing your hands frequently, was rinsing your mouth and gargling with a warm salt water solution twice a day. I remember always rinsing my mouth like that if I had a cancer sore from eating too many tomatoes in the summertime. They also said to keep your hands away from your face too. When you think about it is not easy to do.
Everyone also agrees that you need extra ‘C’ this time of year too. I know nothing better than to eat fresh oranges for that. I’ve been drinking extra juices just to see if it helps my lack of sunshine too.
We’ve got a chance of rain today but the temp will stay in the mid 60’s so that is a good thing. I am not looking forward to more rain at all, but I’ve no choice so will make the most of it.
I’ll be ON THE BEACH (in my mind anyway) most of the day.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S REFLECTION
But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.
Leonardo da Vinci was one of the outstanding intellects of all history, for he was great as a draftsman, an engineer, and a thinker. Just before he commenced work on his Last Supper he had a violent quarrel with a fellow painter. So enraged and bitter was Leonardo that he determined to paint the face of his enemy, the other artist, into the face of Judas, and thus take his revenge and vent his spleen by handling the man down in infamy and scorn to succeeding generations. The face of Judas was therefore one of the first that he finished, and everyone could easily recognize it as the face of the painter with whom he had quarreled. But when he came to paint the face of Christ, he could make no progress. Something seemed to be baffling him, holding him back, frustrating his best efforts. At length he came to the conclusion that the thing which was checking and frustrating him was the fact that he had painted his enemy into the face of Judas. He therefore painted out the face of Judas and commenced anew on the face of Jesus, and this time with the success which the ages have acclaimed. You cannot at one and the same time be painting the features of Christ into your own life, and painting another face with the colors of enmity and hatred.

IT’S MONDAY !!
It is back to work today. Another quick weekend. The only time I left the house was to go to church Sunday. Other wise I searched for and found most of my fall decorations for the house and for the Camper. I made many many trips up and down the stairs to get it all up and now it’s out. I’ve got pumpkins galore, Fall flowers, candles and turkeys too. I figure it’s all good now til Thanksgiving. Then it will get stored away and Christmas will come out.
One of the things I found was a chain of paper leaves that everyone had put on what they were thankful for. I’m thinking I’ll hang it up again and maybe we can add a different color leaf for everyone.
I’ve been looking at the long range forecast for next weekend. The high temp will be in the 50’s and the low in the mid 30’s. That is getting very close to freezing during the night.
I’m wondering if they’ll have us close up the campers earlier than the 24th due to the fact that our water lines may freeze. Or they could just shut off the water and we could camp without it but that doesn’t sound like much fun.
Last year at this time we were enjoying warm weather and in our shirt sleeves. Now we’ll have our long johns and winter coats on…at least in the evening.
Work will be a long 4 ½ day week. I’m taking a half day on Friday as a vacation day. I wanted to take a full day but I have to do payroll as the following Monday is Columbus Day and the banks will be closed. I’ll do the payroll and then leave.
I’m still on the laptop doing my newsletter yet this morning but. DS#4 was able to help me get the e-mail on the desk top operational so by tomorrow I’ll be back to normal on that anyway
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Hopefully the sun may just come out here today. I am planning on doing more around the house and not much else. I did get quite a bit done yesterday and that’s a good thing. I made one too many trips up and down the stairs though and that is not a good thing.
DS#5 called Saturday morning to let me know he’d been off work all this past week. Sinus and migranes due to the sudden change in temps he says. His wife’s grandmother passed away pretty suddenly too and that only added to a miserable week for them.

Nineteen Some things To Say To Children
I love you! There is nothing that will make me stop loving you. Nothing you could do or say or think will ever change that.
1. You are amazing! I look at you with wonder! Not just at what you can do, but who you are. There is no one like you. No one!
2. It's all right to cry. People cry for all kinds of reasons: when they are hurt, sad, glad, or worried; when they are angry, afraid, or lonely. Big people cry too. I do.
3. You've made a mistake. That was wrong. People make mistakes. I do. Is it something we can fix? What can we do? It's all over. You can start fresh. I know you are sorry. I forgive you.
4. You did the right thing. That was scary or hard. Even though it wasn't easy, you did it. I am proud of you; you should be too.
5. I'm sorry. Forgive me. I made a mistake.
6. You can change your mind. It's good to decide, but it is also fine to change.
7. What a great idea! You were really thinking! How did you come up with that? Tell me more. Your mind is clever!
8. That was kind. You did something helpful and thoughtful for that person. That must make you feel good inside. Thank you!
9. I have a surprise for you. It's not your birthday. It's for no reason at all. Just a surprise, a little one, but a surprise.
10. I can wait. We have time. You don't have to hurry this time.
11. What would you like to do? It's your turn to pick. You have great ideas. It's important to follow your special interests.
12. Tell me about it. I'd like to hear more. And then what happened? I'll listen.
13. I'm right here. I won't leave without saying good-bye. I am watching you. I am listening to you.
14. Please and Thank You. These are important words. If I forget to use them, will you remind me?
15. I missed you. I think about you when we are not together!
16. Just try. A little bit. One taste, one step. You might like it. Let's see. I'll help you if you need it. I think you can do it.
17. I'll help you. I heard you call me, here I am. How can I help you? If we both work together, we can get this done. I know you can do it by yourself, but I'm glad to help since you asked.
18. What do you wish for? Even if it's not yet time for birthday candles and we don't have a wishbone, it's still fun to hear about what you wish for, hope for, and dream about.

IT’S THURSDAY !!
Today we begin a new month. October has arrived and with it is supposed to come some sunshine. About 5:30 yesterday evening we did see some sun peep through. What a welcome sight. The radio news at work kept saying today would be sixty and sunny so we’ll see…
This evening I’ll be going to my Bible Study which will be the first Thursday of every month now. Our pastor has decided to do things a little differently this year so on the 1st Thursday we’ll have Bible Study. On the 2nd Thursday we will be having a Session about questions concerning our faith and the last Thursday of the Month we are doing a book club. This month we are reading My Sister’s Keeper. I just got it Wednesday so I’m not sure what it is all about, but will start reading it soon. Last month I guess they discussed The Shack which is really a thought provoking book which I did read but I did not attend the Book Club meeting as I was at the camper.
DS#1 called Wednesday evening to let me know that they would not be camping this coming weekend as the weather is not looking very good and they have a ton of stuff to do at home. So we will celebrate our Sweethearts birthday the following weekend. That weekend is also the Fall Festival at the Campground which also includes a Chili cook off. I’ll be making my chili in the crock pot and it’ll be the MILD variety…DSIL does the hot chili.
That’s the news from home as I know it!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Were your faith the size of a mustard seed you could say to this mulberry tree: Be uprooted and planted in the sea and it would obey you
Luke 17:5-6
Faith is all about trust and at the end of the day it is all about a relationship with God. One never loses ones faith but one can stop shaping our lives by it. It also happens to be the greatest power in the world and that's why Jesus compared it to a mustard seed. With faith what looks impossible can become possible
