Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Celebrate today and show your love for trees!
I am a HUGE tree lover. Huge. We had two trees here - speaking of huge - HUGE - I know they dated back to the Civil War - they saw it - and can you believe the county cut them down to make a park? Instead of leaving them in the park. So sad.
One of the things I love best about moving here (from the Arizona desert) is all the trees! I do miss those we had to have taken down (for safety reasons), because watching the birds and squirrels carrying on was a 3-ring circus. Good thing we still have a big one out front. Now that school's out and there's not so much traffic on Chapman Road I'll take my morning coffee and sit on the bench out there.
