Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Celebrate today and take part is the festivities and light a bonfire !
Thanks lady about the history of bon fires. I like knowing that. We also like to read of your time in the camper. WE seldom take time for a fire and miss it. Maybe we will have a new fire pit back in NC to sit around. Again the visit was good. THANKS.
This is funny Ma, I have a blog friend who lives in England and just gave me a big lesson on this day and all the meanings of it. You are never too old to learn!
Gosh, there's something so appealing about a bonfire. Draws me right in -- in my imagination, that is. I've not seen or heard of any around here, probably on account on the drought; everyone takes that pretty seriously ... as they should!
I love the idea of bonfires but I hate being out in the cold so I never go if anyone has one!
