Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Celebrate today and enjoy some Chop Suey for dinner tonight !
First of all, I want to thank you for this article, which loaded very quickly. I think this is because you used small-sized photos in the article, which matches well with the internet speed at my house. When I visit a blog that has very large, uncompressed images, it becomes difficult for me to load the page. This may not be a problem for people with very fast internet access, but it is an issue for me.
The bit about Chop Suey made me smile too and it really is a comfort dish full of odds and ends. Wishing you good news from your kidney checkup and a cooler, refreshing weekend ahead
Good evening from Indonesia
Its 21.00 PM here
Okay, you decided dinner for us today. I was going to have shrimp stir fry, now at least I will add and egg or two! LOL
WE have never lost a son, I am sure the memories are sweeet and many sad thoughts also. Love you lady.....
Happy Heavenly Birthday to your DS#1! Gosh, what memories you've evoked -- my parents used to make chop suey (from a can) all the time ... probably in part because it was affordable. I don't think I've had it since 1968! Like you, when we order Chinese I go for the beef and broccoli.
