The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades.  May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks,  and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special 

occasion!

Hallmark!

 Today is Election Day which is a day to vote for your favorite candidate. Voting is an antiquated tradition dating back to the 1800’s.  In those days people had to travel a great distance from their farms to the closest town in order to vote.  Tuesday was the best day because people could begin their journey on Monday and avoid traveling on the Sunday sabbath. It also insure they would be home in time for Wednesday market day.

Celebrate today and exercise your rights as a citizen of the U.S. and cast your vote today. It’s always fun too to invite a few friends or family to a watch party for election night results and news coverage. Vote today and may the best person win!

It’s an honer and a privilege for me to be able to vote.  I voted early this year, last week on an early election date.  This is a Primary Election to decide who will run in the Presidential election and also local, state candidates.  I won’t say who I voted for because I believe it’s up to each person to choose.  What is important is that we vote! 

The picture above is of the sticker I received when I voted in Ohio.  This year’s says I voted in Texas! 

Women weren’t always able to vote and due to the fact that a few brave women fought hard to win that right, it  makes it seem like a waste if I didn’t exercise my right to do so now.  As a citizen and a woman I feel it’s my duty and honor to do so.  I’m proud to be a citizen of the United States.  We have a great country!

Please don’t forget to vote today! 

This week it is looking to be cooler here with more chances of rain to come.  Yesterday was in the 90’s but today we’re supposed to be in the mid 70’s for a high.  Last week didn’t get much rain at all, but last night we got a good hard rain. I could hear it beating on the house when I went to bed.We really needed it for sure! 

Today I’m especially thankful for love because of the love my family gives me. My SIL will be taking me to my doctor appointment.  I’ll let you know how that went tomorrow.

Voting is the most precious right of every citizen, and we have a moral obligation to ensure the integrity of our voting process.

12,849. for the people who work at the poling stations

12,850. for a few dedicated women who fought for the right to vote.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

 

Almighty and eternal God,

Protect our military

as they discharge their duties

with the shield of your strength,

may the power of your love

enable them to return home in safety

that with all who love them

they may ever praise you for your loving care.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
