Today is All Saints Day which is also known as All Hallows Day. It is a religious holiday observed by the Anglican and Roman Catholic churches. The day honors all the saints, known and unknown. It can be traced back to 837AD.
All Saints’ Day celebrations take place all across the world. In Spain, the play Don Juan Tenorio is preformed each year. In many European countries, people bring flowers to graves of deceased relatives. In Mexico, it coincides with Dia de lost Muertos, or the Day of the Dead.
All Hallows Eve, All Saints Day and All Souls Day are known collectively as Hallowtide.
To celebrate today, take a moment to remember all those who have come before you.
If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Saints are ordinary people who do what they do for the love of Jesus, say what they must say without fear, love their neighbor even when they are cursed by him, and live without regret over yesterday or fear of tomorrow.
Mother Angelica
I do believe there are saints in heaven. They are all the good people that have come before us. I also have known some people that act like a Saint would. The pictures today are of a few of my family. All of them do a lot of good for others. They are good people. They are not perfect at all and they do have faults, just like I do. But all in all they do more good than not.
We are all works in progress and sometimes we fail and sometimes we succeed. But basically we try to do good for others. We should remember to always love one another as God loves us.
We enjoyed a fun Halloween giving out treats to the kids and neighbors last night. Several came by just to introduce themselves. I like to think of November as Thankful month and today I’m especially thankful for my large family.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!

I'm so glad your new neighbors stopped by to introduce themselves! As teens, my Granddaughter #1 and her BFF used to do that, but when I said "That's such a nice thing to do!" they replied, "Not really. We're just nosy." LOLOL!
Oh my goodness we have a ton of celebrations and thanksgiving this month of November!
Thanks for the smiles reading the things this month IS! LOL But I did not know this, you said: All Saints’ Day celebrations take place all across the world. It is unusual for any celebration to break all borders. THANKS.
Love the pictures and the visit. Love from Florida...
