Happy Birthday to you♥
Today is also Two Different Colored Shoes Day which is a day to step outside the box.
Dr. Arlene Kaiser created this day to recognize and celebrate human diversity. According to Dr. Kaiser, the simple act of wearing two different colored shoes proclaims your individuality. By taking this positive risk, you demonstrate your willingness to be different, and show your appreciation for the unique people in your life.
Wearing two different colored shoes can be as simple as wearing a black shoe and a brown shoe, or as outrageous as wearing a flip flop and a boot. How ever you decide to express yourself today, do so with pride!
To celebrate today, simply wear two different colored shoes and be proud of your individuality. No one should ever want to look the same as everyone else.
If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
One of the greatest regrets in life is being what others would want you to be, rather than being yourself.

This is the 2nd of our May birthdays, and there will be many more coming this month. This granddaughter lives far away from me so I’m sure I will not be seeing her. It’s another long distance birthday, but a card will be going out in the mail with love and birthday wishes for a happy day! She was born just 3 days after our Sunshine Boy and for a while it was a little contest to see who would be born first.
I nicknamed her my Angel because of a picture her mom posted when she was a baby at Christmas time. She had Angel wings on and her older brother had a star on, hence their nicknames. My Angel and Star.
I have at times, put on two different colored socks. It’s sometimes easy when I’m pairing them to mix up blue and black. But to my knowledge, I don’t remember wearing 2 different colored shoes. I do have some shoes that look alike except for color so I may try it out today and see if anyone notices.
We should all celebrate our diversity. We should be proud of the fact that no two people look or act alike. It’s a sad fact, but true that some get treated hatefully because they look different.
I’m thinking I may get laughed at, but I don’t think any one will hate me because I have two different colored shoes on.
Yesterday evening I got to go to a band concert in person for my grand daughter, our Southern Belle. I had only previously seen videos of her performances, but now I get to see one in person! She is going to be graduating this year so I have missed out on several years of her band performances. She really is a talented musician, but I don’t know if she plans to keep up with it after graduation. I sincerely hope so.
My grandson back in Ohio, our Mr. Wonderful performed in a concert this week too. I got to see and listen to it thanks to a video his mom put on Facebook!
Our Xfactor should have a concert coming up soon that I should be able to attend too. It seems I have talented grandchildren every where.
I am thankful for all of them.
Don’t forget to wear two different colored shoes today and take pride in your diversity.
I Hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!

I'm afraid to be seen wearing two different shoes. Someone would probably mistake me for a homeless person ... or worse, that I suffer from dementia.
How nice, you're getting to watch your granddaughter perform in person. When I played piano, and later the violin, my parents always made a point to come watch. That meant a lot!
I don't think I will be wearing different colored shoes. LOL
BUT I know you were thrilled to be at the Southern Belle's concert in person. That is a blessing being close to at least some family.
Enjoy the day, we are just a little cool today up this way!
Happy 😃 Birthday 🥳
