Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Chocolate cake is a favorite of my family. Hope you can enjoy some today!
I also will think of the Holocaust and it's victims today. Horrible, horrible.
I do love chocolate cake though and I enjoyed reading about cake. Don't like coconut tho.
Thank you for mentioning Holocaust Day. I fear it's largely forgotten -- both by educators and the media.
We're not big cake eaters, but Tom's favorite is German Chocolate, too. I tried making one from scratch for his birthday a few years ago ... oh, what a mess! Going forward, I told him the next one's coming from a bakery or the frozen foods aisle.
