Hallmark!
Today is Make Your Dream Come True Day which is special for all those following a dream. Today is the day to stop dreaming and start doing something to make your dream come true.
Talk to someone who inspires you, make a mind map with everything that comes into your mind when you think about your dream.
It’s important what you do to chase your dream because whatever your dreams are, they usually don’t come true without effort and hard work.
To celebrate today, get going and make your dreams come true!
If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you’re fast asleep.
Walt Disney
I’m dreaming about having everything done here and moving to Texas. I do have a lot of hard work ahead of me, so I’ve definitely been working on making my dream come true.
I keep finding things I want to make sure to take with me, but I can’t take much, and that is what the hard part is.
Trimming down the multiple closets I have to fit into only one is not easy at all. I talk to my daughter often so I know even though the winters are not as cold as ours it, it still gets chilly after the sun goes down, so I’ll need to take clothes that layer up well. A tee shirt and jeans are ok in the day time, but I’ll need something warmer for the evenings. I can always put a sweater or sweat shirt on over the tee. I’m taking only a few of my coats, but not many. I have a whole closet of them and have already given many away. Over the years I’ve accumulated way too many clothes. Since I’ve lost weight, some will be to big on me now and because I’ve kept many different sizes on hand, some I’ll be able to fit back into. Deciding on the necessities is not easy. I wear socks with shoes and boots in the winter so I’ll take some of those, but I can’t take the whole drawer full that I have now. Shoes are another thing that I’ll have thin out. Only taking the most comfortable ones and nothing else.
I have a lot of craft supplies here too and DS#6 and family will be coming in to see if they can find some that they can use, later on this weekend. He said if the table in my craft nook was the right size he would take that for folding laundry on at his house. I hope he finds lots to take home with him. There is so much here to find a home for.
I have a an appointment with my primary care doctor today. It’s just routine so he can check and see how I’m doing. He renews my blood pressure pills and I’ll need them going forward. He is also the one to discover I have low kidney function and recommended me to the specialist I’ve been seeing. I’ll have to let him know I’m moving and won’t be back to see him.
Meanwhile I’m cooking today and on the menu is:
French Onion Grilled Cheese
Makes 4 servings
8 slices whole wheat bread
1 cup caramelized onions
1 2/3 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese, about 1 cup
1 tsp. fresh thyme
Spray a skillet with nonstick spray. Place four slices of bread in the skillet over medium low heat.
Top each bread slice with 1/4 cup of caramelized onions and 1/4 cup of cheese. Sprinkle each sandwich with 1/4 tsp fresh thyme.
Heat on Medium low heat until bread is toasted and onions are heated through and cheese begins to melt. Top with additional slices of bread.
Flip each sandwich over and heat until cheese is melted and bread is toasted. Serve immediately.
The shreaded cheese will make just a bit of cheese feel like a lot. And the caramelized onions flavors will make this sandwich sing. The original recipe called for shaved Gruyere cheese but I substituted with shredded Cheddar cheese.
Rain and wind are to return here today, It’ll be a good day to work in the house for sure!
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!

Oh my goodness I have been in that position twice now - it is not easy! Good luck!
I know from experience, these decisions are HARD! Oftentimes I've become attached to an inanimate object -- for no particular reason. Then I have to remind myself, they're just things.
Wishing you good luck at the physician's office today. One more thing checked off the list!
