Hallmark!
Today is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day which is the second most common flavor of ice cream, after vanilla . The flavor has been in existence for well over 100 years and has been popular in the United States since the late 19th century.
Chocolate Ice Cream is made by blending in cocoa powder in along with eggs, cream, vanilla and sugarer used to make ice cream. The cocoa powder gives the ice cream a brown color. Chocolate ice cream is used in the creation of other flavors such as rocky road. Other flavors of ice cream contain chocolate chips mix in with the ice cream such as Chocolate Chocolate Chip, or Mint Chocolate Chip.
To celebrate today, enjoy a bowl of your favorite variety of Chocolate Ice Cream. Enjoy!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
My love for ice cream emerged at an early age — and has never left.
Ginger Rogers
I usually would get vanilla ice cream and put chocolate syrup on it instead of buying chocolate ice cream. I like vanilla because you can add any sort of topping to make it different.
Today is the day I make up a new menu for next week to do my grocery shopping from. It’s my day to shop and on the menu is:
Monday - Beef and Rice Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
Wednesday - Stuffed Sweet Potatoes with Chiii
Friday - Cod Fish Tacos
Weekend - Lemon Chicken Pasta
On the menu for today is:
Ceasar Salad with Grilled Steak
Makes 4 servings
1/4 cup Mayonaise
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, grated
1/2 tsp pepper, divided
2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 lb. sirloin steak, trimmed
1 tomato chopped
1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
1 head romaine cut length wise into quarters
Lemon Wedges for serving
Preheat grill to medium. Whisk mayonaise, lemon juice, oil, mustard, garlic and pepper in a small bowl. Stir in parmesan. Set aside.
Sprinkle both sides of steak with 1/4 tsp. pepper. Oil the grill rack . Grill the steak, flipping once, until a thermometer reads 125 degrees for medium rare, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a platter and let rest 5 minutes. Slice the steak against the grain.
Meanwhile toss tomatoes and onion in a medium bowl. Arrange romaine on a platter and top with tomato mixture and the steak. Drizzle with reserved dressing and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
I only have mixed salad greens, not romaine so will use these instead. The salad will still be very good!
It’s to be a cooler day here with temps staying just around 70 degrees. It will be a great day to get out shopping.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

Ice Cream is a delicious treat, especially in the summer !
Is that Superman ice cream?? 😃
My Tom loves him a bowl of chocolate ice cream! Like you, however, I grew up having only vanilla (ice milk). I'd drizzle Hershey's chocolate syrup, then stir like crazy, until the whole thing resembled a Wendy's frosty.
Interesting recipe! I/we love Caesar salad, but have taken to buying the bagged kits my friend introduced me to last month. Never thought about adding steak strips. Hmmmm......
I made a copy of your recipe and am going to try it. Did I tell you I made your Kale and Bean soup and it was delicious.
I love ice cream - have you ever had spumoni - I can't find it anymore but it was my favorite.
