Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Sewing is an old fashion craft, but I still like to sew.
We have tow sewing machines in the basement. I keep planning to get back into sewing.
and YES that treadle machine Is high on my memory list. My mama could make that thing sing. LOL I did get my fingers mashed several times while playing around her feet. LOL

I took sewing in home economics in high school. I wish I knew how to sew better. I did get rid of it in our move - just had to downsize.
I, too, took sewing in high school Home Ec ... but was truly terrible. My best friend had to finish my project (a 'granny gown') the night before our final exam/fashion show.
How I wish I'd been more grateful for all the clothes my mother made me. No telling how much money she and my dad saved by doing that.
