Hallmark!
Today is National Weatherperson’s Day which is observed primarily in the United States. It recognizes individuals in the fields of meteorology, weather forecasting and broadcast meteorology, as well as volunteer storm spotters and observers.
It is also the birthday of John Jeffries, one of the United States’ first weather observers who took daily measurements from 1774 to 1816.
To celebrate today you could simply watch a weather forecast.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A change in the weather is sufficient to recreate the world and ourselves.
Marcel Proust
I always watch the news to see the weather forecast because it will often determine what I will be doing. If its going to be nice then I plan to get out and enjoy it while I can.
One of my grandson’s is studying to be a meteorologist, not to be on TV, but on the other side of things. He is now in graduate school and is an honor student.
Today it will be cloudy but also much warmer, getting close to 40 degrees. We’re finally out of the deep freeze and my furnace can take a break. With the cold weather we were having it never stopped running.
These cloudy days however, make me want to close my eyes and take a long nap, so I probably won’t be going out. I did get out briefly yesterday and ran to the store to pick up what I needed. I’d run out of bottled water and like to keep it on hand.
I didn’t go far, just to our local Dollar General Store. I love to look around in there. They always have seasonal items to look at. I got a little exercise just walking the isles and seeing what else I could find. I also stopped by the mailboxes and checked my mail.
But for today, I’m going to relax, rest and refresh for the coming week ahead. Even though I have no appointments to go out for, I still have a lot of housework to do, including laundry.
I move slowly, but I still manage to get some things done. Who knows what else may come my way. Whatever comes I’ll be ready for it. I’ll be well rested.
I have to apologize, as yesterday I gave some misinformation. The Grammys are actually on tonight, Sunday night.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Don’t knock the weather, nine tenths of the people couldn’t start a conversation if it didn’t change once in a while.
Kim Hubbard
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
11,028. for the weathermen and their perdictions
11,029. for a grandson that wants to be a meterologist
11,030. for a day of rest and relaxation

Everybody talks about the weather, but few do anything about it.
That's so cool about your grandson studying to become a meteorologist. I, for one, couldn't be fully at ease without them.
Our station's chief meteorologist (I hope) is paid handsomely, not only for his knowledge, but the ability to communicate in a way we all can understand. Interesting, his profile is shown, not as a meteorologist but a scientist.
Enjoy your Sunday!
I sure do hope spring comes soon. We always want what we don't have. Summer is not my favorite tho. I like fall and spring. Good luck to your grandson.
