Hallmark!
Today is Winnie the Pooh Day which celebrates everyone’s favorite, lovable bear. Winnie is just your average bear — he’s one of Disney’s most popular characters of all time. We adore him for his caring attitude and his adventurous ways. The first story mentioning Winnie the Pooh appeared in a London newspaper call The Evening News on Christmas Eve 1925. Since then, Pooh bear has appeared in many book series , popular TV series, and numerance film adaptations.
Winnie the Pooh is a warm friend to all animals dwelling in the Hundred Acres Wood, including Piglet, Eeyore, and Kanga, though his closest confidant is Christopher Robin. Christopher Robin was the real name of A.A. Milne’s son. A.A. Milne was the original author of the Winnie the Pooh series.
To celebrate today watch an episode of Winnie the Pooh and enjoy some sweet hunny!
If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You are braver than you believe,Stronger than you seem, And smarter than you think!
Christopher Robin to Pooh
Over the years we had many Winnie the Pooh bears in our family and we’ve watch his series and movies. He is beloved by all. Sadly, right now the only bear I have is the one I put out for my fall decorations. Everyone loves a cuddly bear !
I’ve also read many stories in books about Winnie the Pooh to my children and their children too. His stories teach about emotions, feeling gratitude for every thing you have, how to have patience and faith, how to believe in yourself and love yourself for who you are. He taught about taking the time to listen to others and valuing the people in your life. He taught about the need to take action and spend our time wisely. He was a very wise bear.
I don’t have any Winnie the Pooh pictures today but I do have some of DS#4’s dog who kept me company on the patio while I was on vacation. He’s like a big cuddly teddy bear.
I’m getting back to normal here so today, I’m making up a menu for next week to do my shopping from and will go to the store today
Monday - Blue Plate Beef Patties
Wednesday - Baked Ziti and Sausage
Friday - The Ultimate Grilled Cheese
Weekend - Chicken Stuffing Bake
On the menu for today is:
Burger Sliders with Secret Sauce
Makes 12 sliders
2 lbs ground beef
2 large eggs beaten
3/4 cup minced onion, divided
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp.pepper
1 package dinner rolls
1/2 cup Thousand island salad dressing, divided
10 slices American Cheese
12 slices dill pickles
1 1/2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
1 Tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix beef, eggs, 1/2 cup minced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper lightly but thoroughly. Place meat mixture on a large parchment lined baking sheet; shape two 6 by 8 in rectangles, each one about 1/2 inch thick. Bake until a thermometer reads 160 degrees. About 20 minutes.
Meanwhile without separating rolls, cut bread in half horizontally. Spread 1/4 cup of dressing evenly over bottom halves of rolls.
Blot meat with paper towels to remove excess fat, top meat with cheese and return two oven. Bake until cheese melts. Place meat on bottom halves of rolls; spread with remaining 1/4 cup dressing. Layer with pickles, remaining 1/4 cup minced onion and shredded lettuce, replace top halves of rolls. Brush with butte on top of rolls one sprinkle with sesame seeds; cut into sandwiches and serve immediately.
I will be cutting this recipe in half and use the leftover sandwiches for lunch this week and tomorrow nights dinner.
You can’t save time. You can only spend it, but you can spend it wisely or foolishly.
Winnie the Pooh
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold rather a large amount of gratitude.
Winnie the Pooh bear.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

WINNIE the Pooh bear is a very loving and caring bear !
Some of my favorite quotes come from Winnie the Pooh. I didn't realize Christopher Robin was the author's son. Neat factoid! Even better legacy!
Enjoy those sliders!
That dog smile is just what I needed today. How is it they can show their love through a smile? Glad you had a winter break in Florida. Have a great rest of today.
I love the dog and the kids.
Today is Winnie the Pooh Day which celebrates everyone’s favorite, lovable bear! I LOVE WINNIE SO MUCH AND HIS QUOTES.
I try to pick which character I most identify with and it is hard. A little bit of all.
