Happy Birthday to you♥
Today is also National Cheese Lover’s Day which celebrates one of the most popular foods across the world. The average American consumes about 31 pounds of cheese each year.
There are more than 900 cheese types, classified by taste and texture. Here are the primary classifications and some examples of fresh cheese: Soft cheese, feta, semi soft cheese, Fontina, semi hard cheese, Gouda; and hard cheese, Cheddar; Double or triple cream cheese, blue cheese, Gorgonzola, washed rind cheese, Limbergur; and bloomy rind cheese, Brie.
To celebrate today, visit your local grocery store and get you favorite kind of artisan cheese or cook a cheesy dish for dinner tonight in honor of the day.
If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Age is not important unless you’re a cheese.
Helen Hayes
DS#6 and our Princess were both born on the same day only 20 years apart. The fist picture shown above was taken on his 21st birthday and her first birthday which they celebrated together. I probably won’t be seeing either one of them as they do not live close by but as usual a card will be going out in the mail with lots of love and birthday wishes for each of them.
Our princess was one of three grandchildren to have the year 2000 birthdays. The second to be born will have a birthday coming up at the end of this month and the other won’t be having his birthday until April. There will be lots of birthdays to celebrate in the year ahead.
Their picture is always a part of my Valentine decorations which I am slowly working on here. Valentine decorations always brighten up the house after the Christmas decorations have been put away.
I always have several types of cheese on hand here in my refrigerator. I like mozzarella, cheddar, Swiss and American cheese. Right now I even have some Colby cheese on hand.
I like to put mozzarella on my pizza, and I use Cheddar on my tacos and love grilled cheese sandwiches made with Colby and American cheese. I also love Swiss cheese on my turkey sandwiches.
After the rain we had yesterday it is supposed to be colder for at least a week ahead, we’ll be in the 30’s here and we’ll be having some chances of snow too. Back in Florida, they are having 80 degree days. Oh how I miss the sunshine and warmth!
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!

A double birthday means a double celebration !
Happy Birthday blessings lifting for DS#6 and Princess! That's so neat, their sharing a birth-date.
My eyes lit up when I read what day this is. Unlike Tom who rarely eats anything but American cheese, I love a good variety. Right now my favorites are baby mozzarella, Bellavitano, sharp cheddar. Occasionally I'll have a taste for Provolone or brie. It's all good!
