ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SATURDAY,SEPTEMBER 28TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is World Tourism Day which is a day to raise awareness on the role our tourism within the International community and to demonstrate how it affects social cultural and political and economic values worldwide.
World Tourism Day was first celebrated in 1980 by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Tourism is travel for recreational leisure or business purposes.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Not all those who wander are lost.
J.R.R. Tolkien
I’m not much of a tourist these days, as I prefer staying home where I’m comfortable to traveling. When I was younger I used to love to visit new places and see what they had to offer. And most of that travel was to places where my children lived. Due to my family, I’ve seen a lot of different places. It would be nice if they all lived close by, but that wasn’t possible. For the most part their jobs took them far from home.
To me there’s just no place like home for comfort though and I’d prefer it if they came to visit me. Thankfully, they all live in the US, so I’ve not become a world traveler yet. We have lots of beautiful places to visit right here in the U.S. Matter of fact there are still places in my own state that I’d like to see given the opportunity.
We do get a lot of tourists here in Northern Ohio due to the fact that we have Lake Erie and many like to vacation by the lake. In the summertime, cottages and camp grounds are filled with people seeking relief from the summer heat.
‘
Most of them close when Labor Day comes and people go back to work and school starts. We are also close to Cedar Point Amusement Park which gets visitors from all over the world. Right now they are still open and are celebrating Hallow Weekends. featuring haunted Mazes, Scary Rides, Creepy Creatures and more for Halloween. After that they’ll pretty much close for the season too. Our weather will turn colder and unless you like to ski, tourists turn toward warmer climes.
Tourism is often a seasonal business. But no matter where you roam there is no place like home for me. Today’s pictures are of some of my children being tourists this summer.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us, or we find it not.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
