ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Weed Appreciation Day which was established to remind people that a weed is just a plant growing where you don’t want them to grow
Blackberries are fantastic when you find them growing in the wild, but perhaps less than desirable when you find them growing in the middle of your bushes. That’s basically the details of what makes a weed. There are hundreds of weeds that incredibly important in health and culinary uses too.
It’s a good day to learn more about weeds and their benefits.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
No garden is without its weeds
Thomas Fuller
At this point in time, I’d appreciate seeing anything growing around my house, even weeds…There is nothing green and growing at all. Winter has been slow in going this year and we’ve not had enough sunshine and warmth.
I did have some flowers blooming in the yard here last year, that would probably be considered weeds but they were pretty and I left them right were they were and that is what today’s pictures are of. I also had a lot of little oak trees that popped up everywhere and I had no choice but to leave them where they were and mowed them down when I cut the grass. These huge oak trees on either side of my home, produce so many acorns it’s impossible for me to remove them all and goodness knows that squirrels certainly enjoy them.
I no longer have flower gardens to weed but have flower boxes outside on plant stands. Believe it or not, weeds will even pop up in them from time to time. Those I do pluck out.
I’m looking forward to seeing green anywhere here, weeds, leaves on the trees and grass. Come on Spring!
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I learn more about God
From weeds than roses;
Resilience springing
Through the smallest crack of hope
In the absolute of concrete…
Phillip Pulfrey
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5836. for weeds, they are green and growing
5837. for grass to mow, I need the exercise
5838. for lots acorns, those squirrels will never go hungry
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I too am looking forward to seeing green things growing and yes, even dandilion flowers would be nice. Happy Easter MA.
Weeds are amazing things, really. I laughed to myself this week when I was out working in the flower beds. I pulled up things that I admire when I’m in the country! Our yard is green already......grass and weeds. I used to dig all the weeds up but discovered if I leave them alone, the grass chokes them out. At least the kind that there’s so much of. I really don’t like Johnson grass.....it looks like grass but isn’t.
You will be so happy when you get your spring weather! The late snows were not being kind to y’all!
Sometimes I find the weeds are pretty! So I leave them. We are predicted to get snow tonight but it won't last long. I have been enjoying the rain here but am so ready for sunshine!
