ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is World Forestry Day which celebrates the value of forests and forestry to our commit. The concept of World Forestry Day originated in 1971 and was declared an annual even by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.
Forests are critical for all life on Earth as the provide shelter, shade, refuge and clean air and water. The worlds forests are at constant rick from deforestation as demand for forest products increases.
It’s a great day to plant a tree.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I often feel like I’m living in a forest with the huge trees that are all around me. Truth is though that on either side of where I live there are highways with traffic constantly whizzing by. My community is like a little oasis from it all. My house is not fancy at all but it’s just right for me and I love the trees.
The pictures today are from last summer. Right now we haven’t got any leaves on the trees. The only buds are on the Maple tree out front. The trees that are on either side of the house are oak trees and believe me when I say they can produce a lot of acorns.
Today is my day to get out and about. They say we will have snow showers on and off and it’s cold out too. Our schools are closed due to slippery conditions on the roads. I do however need to get to the store and do my weekly shopping and get things too for the Easter celebration my family is having this coming week end.
Spring has sprung in many parts of the world but not here yet.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I thank You God for most the amazing day
for leaping green spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky
for everything which is natural which is infinite
which is yes.
e.e. cummings
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5815. for buds on tree out front that give me hope
5816. for forests that bring life
5817. for my home, a little oasis in a busy world
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
All of our ideas come from the natural world: trees equal umbrellas.
Wallace Stevens
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Happy World Forestry Day, MA. I'm so happy to live in a place where I can roam them freely and enjoy their green.
I love your little house Pam! I think it is cute and really homey and I love the tall trees surrounding it. I hope you were able to get out and back in safety! I hate having to go out when the weather is bad, but sometimes a girl has to do what a girl has to do! Thanks so much for all that you share with us. God bless you for the ray of sunshine that you are! xoxo
Here in Texas all danger of frost is past! We know this because the mesquite trees will not bud out until 'all danger of frost is past.' My step son was visiting us last night and said he noticed they were budding out!
We have a huge elm tree in our back yard - right next to the gazebo. It has been slowly dying for the last several years and I do believe it is now dead. I mourn for the tree. It was really old and really big. Louis Dean has had the tree trimmers out a couple of times to cut off dangerous limbs. I don't want to take the tree completely down. The trunk is huge and still provides shelter for the gazebo.
I would love your house! Like a tree house!!
