ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is World Water Day which raises awareness about the state of sustainable fresh water resources around the world. More than 663 million people on our planet do not have access to safe drinking water and the amount of water we need to drink and produce food, goods, and services continues to grow.
The United Nations General Assembly announced the first World Water Day in 1993.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We never know the value of water until the well is dry.
Thomas Fuller
Thankfully we have a good source of fresh water here. It comes from Lake Erie and goes through water treatment plants to make sure it is safe to drink. It’s not free, we pay for water service to our homes, but we can trust its quality.
Water is necessary for life and we couldn’t do without it. It more than just essential to quench thirst or protect our health, it is vital for for creating jobs and supporting economic, social and human development. It’s one of those things we don’t really appreciate until we are without it.
When I was young, my grandparents had a well that supplied their water. It was spring fed and truly the best water I’ve ever tasted. Yes, water does have a taste. Although our drinking water is safe for consumption, it has a taste to it. I can tell the difference and prefer the taste of bottled Dasani water if I have a choice.
Today I’ll be preparing for the weekend here at my house. I have much to do and there is only today and tomorrow to get it all done. It’s still cold but the sun is supposed to come out here and hopefully melt the snow we got yesterday. Looks like we’ll be snow free through the weekend too which will make travel much nicer. We’ll be heading a couple of hours south for our family gathering so hopefully it will be warmer too.
The good news is that the long range forecast says that next week we should anticipate temps in the 40’s and close to 50 degrees!
I hope you all have GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.
Cynthia Cook
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5818. for a good supply of water to drink
5819. for an oven that is going to be used today
5820. for a sunny day, yay!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
We forget that the water cycle and the life cycle are one.
Jacques Cousteau
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

That is so true. I am thankful for clean water.
I nearly missed getting to visit you today!
The water here at the ranch is okay but it doesn't taste good. We bottle up water from Irving which us very good and bring it with us. We also buy bottled water for handy drinking since you have to drink a lot of water in Texas! The heat - even in the spring - demands it!
Have fun at your gathering! We are going back home Saturday so I can get ready for Good Friday. But we will be back 13 days later!
