ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is National Cheese Doodle Day. It’s a day to celebrate the cheddar cheese coated, puffed or crunchy, fried or baked snack food. These cheesy snacks are sure to leave you fingers bright orange as you savor all their cheesy goodness.
Cheese doodles are also known as cheese puffs, cheese curls, cheese balls, cheese poofs and sometimes corn cheese. They are made with cornmeal that has been puffed, baked and coated with a wonderful cheddar cheese.
Said to have originated back in the 1930’s the most popular brands are either Wise’s Cheez Doodles or Frito Lay’s Cheetos.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Celebrate what you want to see more of.

Orange fingers aside, I do love Cheetos and you can never eat just one. They are included in my list of comfort foods. I love crunchy snacks.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I did and today’s pictures are just a few of those taken at the party I went to for one of my grandsons. DS#6 and his wife went all out to make their son’s party a Star Wars spectacular from the decorations, food, games and party favors . My son said you only get a chance to do this day once so might as well do it well. That is a good attitude we could all take on for every day.
DD got me there and back and I’m thankful for the time I could spend traveling and visiting with her. These days we do not get a whole lot of time together.
My children and grandchildren are what keep me going and motivate me to do most of what I do. I made some macaroni salad to take and share with everyone at the party and used a new recipe which I’m sharing below. On hindsight I should have used bow tie pasta to go along with the Star War Theme, but I forgot.
Its a new week and I’m anticipating a good one as I’ll be celebrating my own birthday in just a few days. Matter of fact I think I may just make it a birthday week. The older I get, the more I find worth celebrating in life.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

Oh how lovely Pam! Looks like your grandson had a lovely party! Boys and Star Wars go together likebpeas and carrots! My sons all loved Star Wars. Your family did your sweet grandson proud with this sweet party! I am sure bow ties or not your pasta salad went down a real treat! Xoxo
Looks like a fun party. Did they draw on all those marshmallows? The pasta recipe looks good. I love cheese balls. I buy a big, huge jar of them on occasion. They were Richard's favorite snack.
Cheetos were my dad's favorite snack, as well. Soooo good, I can close my eyes and salivate ... lol!
Those are pretty awesome (and novel!) decorations. I like what you son says about having one chance to get it right. I'll bet he's a great dad!
PS - How about making your birthday week a birthday MONTH ... and come celebrate with me?
