ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Count your blessings instead of sheep
And you’ll fall asleep counting your blessings...
Sleep is as necessary as water and food. Thankfully I have no sleep problems and usually get about 8 hours of sleep every night. I found out a long time ago, that if I do not get those 8 hours, I’m not much good for anything. When I worked, I’d go to bed early so that I could get up early and after so many years of doing that, I still go to bed early and get up early. It became a habit for me. I wake up every morning with no need for an alarm clock. However, I did sleep in this morning, I must have needed it.
I do like being up early in the morning and watching the sun come up which reminds me to be thankful for another day. I also like seeing the sunset too. It’s a reminder for me to count the blessings of the day and to be thankful for them.
I have stopped driving anywhere that will take me over an hour though as I tend to get sleepy. Especially when driving on a monotonous interstate highway or the turnpike. After a couple scares, I decided it wasn’t worth it.
It’s the end of the week and I imagine there are lots of you that are looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow after working all week. Many need and extra hour just to catch up from the hour we lost last weekend with the time change.
Today’s pictures are of this winter and the snow…it’s when the world lays sleeping as it prepares for Spring.
I hope you all have FANTASTIC Friday!
PRAYER REQUEST
DDIL#5 asked for prayers for their sweet dog. She has been diagnosed with a rare aggressive form of cancer. They will be providing her with comfort care over the next few weeks with lots of cuddles and treats, but would appreciate a prayer for her comfort.

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Will lift up your sweet granddog, MA. One of the hardest things in life is to say good-bye to our furry family members. But the luxury of having them in our lives and the joy they bring is worth the sadness. Lovingly, Andrea
There's a certain irony about sleep. When our children were growing up, I was sleep-deprived all the time, and got so exhausted, I was even hospitalized once. Now that the nest is long-empty and I could theoretically sleep late every day and take as many naps as I'd like? I still love getting up early, no matter what time I go to bed, and I simply don't need as much sleep as I did back then. And it is patently impossible for me to nap. My hubby's a real pro at it, but no matter how tired I am, the cats and my churning mind say "nuh-uh" on those rare occasions I venture a lay-down on the sofa.
I’ve been missing my visits with you...life in the Country is not on a regular schedule. And sometimes the. Internet is spotty.
Sleep is what I’ve done today! Up at 9:00 and out to do Critter Chores before even that first cup of coffee! Back to the camper for our morning devotional and then it was lunch and at noon I crawled back into the girl bunk and I’ve been here for the last 4 1/2 hours! I need to get up soon because it will be time to go back down and tend the critters!
I guess I chose a good day to sleep a lot!
