Life is a Special Occasion!

Fun at Work Day is a day to have fun at work for once. Ideally, work should be fun. But normally, work is not intended to have fun. It's intended to get work done. You're a very lucky person, if you if you can get work done and have fun doing it. The lucky souls in this situation, love their job.
Unfortunately, all of us are not lucky enough to have a job that's fun to do. If that's you, then today is a day just for you! Think of ways to make your job more fun and exciting. Look to do some fun things at work today, even if it takes away from production just a wee bit.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
It's kind of fun to do the impossible.
Walt Disney
Some people love their jobs, but they aren’t always fun to do. Doctors, nurses, firemen and paramedics come to mind. With any job or business, you often need to do things you wouldn’t choose to do. We tend to best enjoy the things we feel we’re doing entirely by choice. Since work, in any form, requires commitment, we need to know going in that even the most enjoyable paths will have their ups and downs. Not every job is fun, but there are ways to have fun when doing them.
Sometimes just having a job makes life more fun. Not everyone is blessed with a job. We often don’t miss what we have until we no longer have it. If you have a job today, you are blessed!
One of the first steps to having fun at work is believing that the words fun and work belong in the same sentence. Believe it or not, setting goals and meeting them actually will make your work week much more fun! Plan your work and work your plan. It’s a lot of fun when we feel we’ve accomplished something.
It’s important to remember to think positive thoughts. If you catch yourself making a negative comments, try to compensate with at least two positive comments. By taking a moment to laugh at the funny things that happen, to occasionally share a funny story with a coworker, or just to read a funny comic someone put on the fridge, you’ll begin to see how much more fun you’re capable of having. Learn to laugh at yourself, too. If you take yourself less seriously, you’ll be able to relax and have more fun. I’ve noticed that those that sometimes have the most stressful of jobs tend to joke around and laugh more.
Since I no longer go out to work, I can see how we could all put these tips into use to make each day a little more fun, no matter where we are. I’ve definitely learned to laugh at myself more often and it does help! Very often my job this time of year is to shovel snow here, but right now there is none in sight. The pictures are from one of our past winters about this same time of year.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday !

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Life ain't easy. Terrible things happen to everyone. You have to keep your sense of humor, give something of yourself to others, make friends who are younger than you, learn new things, and have fun.
George Vaillant
