Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

That is the cutest thing with rubber band veteran day. I too remember those rubber band fights and having rubber band guns for the kids to have fights with. I heard sometimes people will put a rubber band on their wrist and snap it if they are trying to break a habit; can't remember all the specifics about it, but I do remember that.
yum donuts! Always a good thing to start the day with!
betty
I worked in a court clerk's office between the ages of 23 and 28.We would stand at the counter and shoot rubber bands at the attorneys walking up and down the hall! They wouldn't know where they came from, and when they came back to stick their heads in, we would look at them innocently and say "What????" :-)
Loving the new chicken kitchen curtains.... and the snowmen of course... I've missed your countdowns to the seasons... :)
