Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Guess I'll have to clean off my desk today! Blessings
I know what you mean MA; my desk is also a catch-all. I lie in bed writing on my large Atlas when there's a flip-top desk right next to me. Oh well, perhaps I'll remember it one of these days.
WE have a built-in desk in the kitchen....above it is a two door cabinet...left side is CityBoy's...right side is mine...we went crazy and cleaned out both sides and desk top between Christmas and New Years...CityBoy had a wonderful time shredding all the paper...he was very proud to have a full garbage bag...LOL...Haaaaaa!!
Enjoy
Looks like a pleasant street you live on, Ma! Glad to hear for now the snow is gone until the next storm.
Paper shredders are the best inventions! Love the convenience of them.
After I saw that it was national clean off your desk day, I took a look at my working area and realized it needs a bit of de-cluttering so I think today will be a great day to do so!
betty
I tried to do some of that today, here!
Junk multiplies to fill the space provided. I've come to that realization many moons ago.
I love your blog entry today, Ma! It makes me think back to the days of my youth, when I used to have a lot of penpals. They used to have magazines dedicated solely to the subject of people wanting penpals. Imagine a day when you could actually print your complete name & address in a magazine... and tell a little something about yourself. So sad those times are long gone.
