NATIONAL CHOCOLATE COVERED ANYTHING DAY

Today is National Chocolate Covered Anything Day.  Its a great day to indulge, binge, pig out, and otherwise consume to excess, our favorite food....chocolate. The timing of this day, during the holiday season, couldn't be better.

Today, we get to enjoy our beloved chocolate by covering something...just about anything... in a generous amount of chocolate. Pour, spread, or drizzle chocolate over cakes, cupcakes, pies, pancakes or waffles, nuts, raisins, gummy bears,  even ants. Yes, some people actually eat chocolate covered ants!. I can remember a time when I was a child, someone brought chocolate covered ants to school and dared us to take a taste.  I just couldn't do that even if they were covered with chocolate.

 In the giving spirit of the holiday season, make sure to give or share some of your favorite chocolate covered treats today.

Happy National Chocolate Covered Anything Day!

Before you say anything to anyone, ask yourself 3 things: 

Is it true?

Is it kind?

Is it necessary?

Make promises sparingly and keep them faithfully. 

Never miss the opportunity to compliment or say something encouraging to someone. 

Refuse to talk negatively about others; don't gossip and don't listen to gossip. 

Have a forgiving view of people. Believe that most people are doing the best they can. 

Keep an open mind; discuss, but don't argue. (It is possible to disagree without being disagreeable.) 

Forget about counting to 10. Count to 1,000 before doing or saying anything that could make matters worse. 

Let your virtues speak for themselves. 

If someone criticizes you, see if there is any TRUTH to what he is saying; if so, make changes. If there is no truth to the criticism, ignore it and live so that no one will believe the negative remark.

COUNTING MY GIFTS

I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts.

70.  for a day out Christmas shopping with my sisters this week

71. for having clear and dry roads to travel on

72. for having most of my gifts wrapped

Truly these 4 grand children are a blessing and miracles in the making.  Of course all my grandchildren are a blessing to us all , but these 4 had exceptional beginnings.
