Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

I like those 10 reasons to have a happy new year. But they do seem a little hard on Xmas! So, if you don't mind, I think I'll revise them a little so it doesn't look like I'm happy that my beloved Xmas is over.
PS - My favorite weather is bird-chirping weather too.
Where I live Ma and many more places now in England the local councils are furnishing fines for feeding the birds.Due to it's attraction of virmin.Pity but I do watch the birds nibbling my berry shrubs and they have stripped the Rowan trees bare now.I de-clutter often and had a throw away only yesterday.Tonight I intend to organise my stationary drawers,so Grandaughter looks like coming in for a few craft treasts, she loves when Grandma sorts that lot out..Have a lovely Thursday Ma.Take Care Stay warm, our weather is appauling gales still and heavy lashing rain.God Bless Kath xx
Pam, goodness, do we ever have birds here on the lake. They are everywhere. The blue herons are huge.
Hope you have a wonderful day.

Feedin' our fine feathered friends year round is one of my life delights. It's not unusual for me to feed 25lbs of black oil sunflower seed a week in the midst of winter.
You have the best New Year sweetie, loved the list!
God bless and enjoy your day!
Ma, what a great goal you have for the year. We need to do some more de-cluttering as well. It's so hard though, as I hate throwing things away that might come in useful some day, you know how it goes, lol. We regularly feed our birds. It brings us so much pleasure. We have not had an vermin here, thank goodness. I know that the seagulls can be quite a problem in the coastal areas. My friend Jo, who lives in Broadstairs, gets parakeets at her feeders! Fantastic to watch! xxoo
