NATIONAL PHARMACIST DAY

National Pharmacist Day is honors pharmacists, and recognizes their important role in medical care. A Pharmacist must be knowledgeable of the chemistry of all medicines. They can inform you of a drugs' side effects, and all aspects of prescription medicine. Very importantly, they understand and recognize the interaction of drugs together...many people take numerous drugs.
National Pharmacist Day recognizes this important role

Medicines may be necessary. Flowers lift the heart. 

But your smile is the best restorative of all.

NEWS FROM HOME

So far this week I've managed to get a little cleaning done here at my house, got my car repaired and got some laundry done.  They've all been good days  and happy ones too.  The weather has been just great considering it is January.  But that is about to change says the weather man.  Much colder air and snow are headed our way.  Living near Lake Erie means we get Lake Effect snow and that mostly goes east of us but not always.  One thing for sure we'll get colder, now we'll just have to wait and see about the snow.

On the Bright Side they say we now have about 18 minutes more day light.  The days are slowly getting longer.

That is a good thing indeed!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in

your loving hands.

Protect them as they protect us.

Bless them and their families for the

selfless acts they perform for us

in our time of need. I ask this in the

name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters

and Paramedics and EMT's

During the 2nd.week of January our New Year's resolutions often crumble to nothing.  It is hard to keep a new momentum going and difficult to keep the initial enthusiasm up.  Prayer is often on the list of resolutions.  We like the idea and know it is important.  We can be enthusiastic initially but prayer often slips by to one side.  However, prayer is always worth the effort especially when we struggle with it.  Prayer can give meaning to life, the good moments and also the difficult ones.  We need someone or something to hold onto.  Any prayer no matter how short is like a stepping stone.  A few stepping stones together and we may have a better view or a new meaning to why something happened or how we can move on.  Your prayer is time well spent today and a resolution worth hanging on to.
