Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

When my kids were growing up we always ate dinner together. They had to have an awfully good excuse in order not to be present! I think it's so sad that it so rarely happens today. Families are missing out on some very special times together! Have a fabulous Monday! xxoo
Hi Ma...great post!
I am a huge believer in eating dinner or meals together. It is so much more civilized than everyone eating at different times as so many do today.
I always think of the Waltons tv series when I think of families eating together.
Happy Monday!

It's sad that so many families rarely sit down to a meal together at home.
Love your fall decorations - and the idea that you need layers now! It's finally getting cooler her now, but not that chilly!
Have a beautiful week!
In my home growing up we ate a meal together almost everyday and I've continued that with my family too. We really enjoy this chance to sit down and catch up with eachother, especially when life gets hectic. I've taken to reading the Bible out loud with them, at least a few verses a few times per week, sometimes more. They like to take turns and read the verses. My youngest loves to draw while we read from the Bible. Not many families do this anymore but that was the way it was growing up for me so I hope to pass this on.
What a lovely, lovely post!!! We always ate together and when my son was growing up it seemed we always had several of his friends 'drop in' at dinner time. They didn't eat together at home, each one did their own thing with a tv tray in front of the television. Sad isn't it? I'm glad they came to my house!
