ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MAY 6TH, 2010
It's THURSDAY!
Today is the National Day of Prayer. A day when peo
ple of faith jo
int together to pray for our Nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Our country was birthed in prayer and reverence for God.
THINKING
In my Christ, I find the confidence to face any challenging situation with courage. He gives me the wisdom to choose my thoughts, words and actions from a
foundation of
strength.
Be strong and of good courage, and act. Do not be afraid or dismayed; for the Lord God, my God, is with you

PRAYERS
Dear Lord, I thank You for the family that You gave me. I thank You for the lessons they taught me. You have a plan for each of us, Lord, and it is a plan to bu
ild up our faith and not tear us down. I love You, Father. I trust You. I rest in You.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
AROUND HOME
You are how you act, not just how you believe
Mitch Albom in his book, have a little faith
I did read Mitch Albom's book and found it really inspirational. His way of looking at things takes a little different twist but a good one.
I haven't been doing much reading lately. By the time bedtime comes I'm ready for sleep. I tried reading and just fell instantly asleep.
FAMILY
Few things are more delightful than grandchildren fighting over your lap
Doug Larson
DS#6 and his wife also have 2 dogs at their house. They are my grand dogs and are just a little bit jealous of our Lucky guy. More than once when I've been holding the baby I've also had the dogs wanting attention, licking my hand or curlin
g up at my feet.
They like their grand'ma' too!
