IT’S SATURDAY !!
AND
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEETHEART!
May the dear Lord bless you today and always!
As we are not camping this weekend I’m not going to be able to celebrate with her but hopefully will see her next weekend.
The weather did try to clear a little yesterday afternoon and we did see the sun peep through briefly but there is still a chance of showers and it supposed to be very windy again.
As I have time on my hands here at home this weekend I’m going to try and get a few things done around the house and that’s about it.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
A friend has asked for prayers for her daughter who will be having surgery later this month. Please join me in praying for her. May the dear Lord bless her with a successful surgery and a speedy recovery and may He guide the hands of the doctors caring for her.
Dear God, when I am prone to worry, remind me to choose to trust in you, surrender my worries to you, and not keep taking them back. Gratefully in Jesus' name
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
Amen!

Nineteen Some things To Say To Children
I love you! There is nothing that will make me stop loving you. Nothing you could do or say or think will ever change that.
1. You are amazing! I look at you with wonder! Not just at what you can do, but who you are. There is no one like you. No one!
2. It's all right to cry. People cry for all kinds of reasons: when they are hurt, sad, glad, or worried; when they are angry, afraid, or lonely. Big people cry too. I do.
3. You've made a mistake. That was wrong. People make mistakes. I do. Is it something we can fix? What can we do? It's all over. You can start fresh. I know you are sorry. I forgive you.
4. You did the right thing. That was scary or hard. Even though it wasn't easy, you did it. I am proud of you; you should be too.
5. I'm sorry. Forgive me. I made a mistake.
6. You can change your mind. It's good to decide, but it is also fine to change.
7. What a great idea! You were really thinking! How did you come up with that? Tell me more. Your mind is clever!
8. That was kind. You did something helpful and thoughtful for that person. That must make you feel good inside. Thank you!
9. I have a surprise for you. It's not your birthday. It's for no reason at all. Just a surprise, a little one, but a surprise.
10. I can wait. We have time. You don't have to hurry this time.
11. What would you like to do? It's your turn to pick. You have great ideas. It's important to follow your special interests.
12. Tell me about it. I'd like to hear more. And then what happened? I'll listen.
13. I'm right here. I won't leave without saying good-bye. I am watching you. I am listening to you.
14. Please and Thank You. These are important words. If I forget to use them, will you remind me?
15. I missed you. I think about you when we are not together!
16. Just try. A little bit. One taste, one step. You might like it. Let's see. I'll help you if you need it. I think you can do it.
17. I'll help you. I heard you call me, here I am. How can I help you? If we both work together, we can get this done. I know you can do it by yourself, but I'm glad to help since you asked.
18. What do you wish for? Even if it's not yet time for birthday candles and we don't have a wishbone, it's still fun to hear about what you wish for, hope for, and dream about.

These are not only good things to say to children but most adults would love hearing these words too.
TODAY’S REFLECTION
Come to me…and I will give you rest
Matthew 11:28
When Jesus says, Come to me, he doesn’t say come to religion, come to a system, or come to a certain doctrine. This is a very personal invitation to a God, and invitation to a Savior.
Our God is not aloof—he’s not so far above us that he can’t see and understand our problems. Jesus isn’t a God who stayed on the mountaintop—he’s a Savior who came down and lived and worked with the people
The life of Jesus Christ is a message of hope, a message of mercy, a message of life in a dark world

HAPPY Finally FRIDAY!
I’m having a little problem with my desk top computer so am on the laptop this morning. I installed a new Microsoft Office Package on the other one and it somehow wiped out my email server. I’ll be working on getting it all set up soon so until then will not have a newsletter for you. Anyone that changed their e-mail address this past year will not receive this as I’ve not updated the addresses on this laptop address book.
It seems that no one else in my family is camping this weekend as the weather isn’t looking very good until maybe Sunday so I’ll be staying home too. If by some miracle it does decide to clear up and DD and her hubby decide to go I’ll go to. But other wise I’ll just stay home and hope next weekend is a better one.
I need to see if I can get my other computer working anyway.

IT’S THURSDAY !!
Today we begin a new month. October has arrived and with it is supposed to come some sunshine. About 5:30 yesterday evening we did see some sun peep through. What a welcome sight. The radio news at work kept saying today would be sixty and sunny so we’ll see…
This evening I’ll be going to my Bible Study which will be the first Thursday of every month now. Our pastor has decided to do things a little differently this year so on the 1st Thursday we’ll have Bible Study. On the 2nd Thursday we will be having a Session about questions concerning our faith and the last Thursday of the Month we are doing a book club. This month we are reading My Sister’s Keeper. I just got it Wednesday so I’m not sure what it is all about, but will start reading it soon. Last month I guess they discussed The Shack which is really a thought provoking book which I did read but I did not attend the Book Club meeting as I was at the camper.
DS#1 called Wednesday evening to let me know that they would not be camping this coming weekend as the weather is not looking very good and they have a ton of stuff to do at home. So we will celebrate our Sweethearts birthday the following weekend. That weekend is also the Fall Festival at the Campground which also includes a Chili cook off. I’ll be making my chili in the crock pot and it’ll be the MILD variety…DSIL does the hot chili.
That’s the news from home as I know it!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Were your faith the size of a mustard seed you could say to this mulberry tree: Be uprooted and planted in the sea and it would obey you

Faith is all about trust and at the end of the day it is all about a relationship with God. One never loses ones faith but one can stop shaping our lives by it. It also happens to be the greatest power in the world and that's why Jesus compared it to a mustard seed. With faith what looks impossible can become possible

TODAY’S QUOTE
How often we forget the little words of thanks, of praise, or encouragement. When we look back at our own life we remember not the gifts we have been given, but the smile, the kiss, the praise that has helped and enriched us. We must pray not to forget to give freely these "little things" to everyone we meet today

IT’S WEDNESDAY !!
OVER THE HUMP DAY!
Well now they are saying that after the clouds clear away, we could have partly sunny skies today. If you hear something strange today it will me shouting out thanks and praise for the sunshine. The other part of the forecast said that it will go down to 38 degrees tonight and areas away from the lake could have a chance of frost. Often we do get the lake effect here and because of that do not get frost, but be warned…it just might frost tonight.
This is the last day of September and it sure did fly by fast. October will bring lots of fun things for us though, the least of which will be pumpkins and everyone loves them. We like to carve them, decorate with them and eat them too in delicious pumpkin pies.
This coming weekend will be our Sweethearts birthday and with a little luck and the rain does stop I might even be able to celebrate with her on Saturday. No one likes to be camping in the rain so we’ll have to see how the weather goes…
I had to turn the furnace on as it got below 65 degrees at my house last night. I hate to do that because it seems once you do it, it will be on from now until sometime in May. I know some of you in the south and out west are still enjoying summer like temps, but here it is getting chilly.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Michael and his angels battled against the dragon...Satan, the seducer of the whole world, was driven out
Revelation 12:7, 9
If Satan has been defeated, why must we still fight him? He has lost the war, but on his way to hell, is trying to exact more casualties upon the kingdom of God. He is a sore loser, and his fury knows no limits, for he knows his time is short.
Therefore, if we relax our efforts in finishing the fight (Gal 6:9), we might suffer some casualties ourselves. Because God has used angels to successfully fight Satan, and because the Lord hasn't changed His battle plan (see Heb 13:8), we need the angels and thankfully have a enveloping sense of their loving protection and guidance.

IT’S TUESDAY !!
BrrrChill !
After having temps in the 80’s last week it does seem chilly here this morning. It was a windy Monday and the wind coming over the lake from Canada is cold compared to what we’ve been used to.
It was low 50’s overnight and we have a high of 60 today. Wind is still promised to us too. So there is a wind chill factored in there too.
Just a little forewarning of what is to come I’m sure.
Work was very busy as usual on a Monday. Today will be a little slower, but there will still be plenty to do. It’s data entry day for me. Computer work all day long. Really there is rarely a time I’m not on the computer. Everything I do is on the computer.
Thank the good Lord I do know how to use one. And thankfully my eyes are still holding up. Although they do not like wet dark mornings for sure.
I had my OJ and vitamins and am still working on the attitude.

IT’S THURSDAY !!
Thankfully it is the last day of the work week for me. I am hoping we’ll be having some good weather as I’ll be at the campsite for 3 days now. I have one more long weekend in October for camping and then after that the next 3 day-er will be at Thanksgiving. I hate to see my vacation days dwindle down but you know I’ll be having lots more of them come next year.
The campsite closes the weekend of the 24th/25th of October.
This year has flown by so far and before we know it those holidays will be here. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas as always because it will mean having most of my family together.

TEACHERS
On the 6th day, God created men and women.
On the 7th day, he rested.
Not so much to recuperate, but rather to prepare himself for the work he was going to do on the next day. For it was on that day-the 8th day-that God created the FIRST TEACHER.This TEACHER, though taken from among men and women, had several significant modifications. In general, God made the TEACHER more durable than other men and women.
The TEACHER was made to arise at a very early hour and to go to bed no earlier than 11:30 p.m .- with no rest in between.
The TEACHER had to be able to withstand being locked up in an air-tight classroom for six hours with thirty-five "monsters" on a rainy Monday. And the TEACHER had to be fit to correct 103 term papers over Easter vacation.
Yes, God made the TEACHER tough...but gentle too.
The TEACHER was equipped with soft hands to wipe away the tears of the neglected and lonely student...of those of the sixteen year old girl who was not asked to the prom. And into the TEACHER God poured a generous amount of patience. Patience when a student asks to repeat the directions the TEACHER has just repeated for someone else. Patience when the kids forget their lunch money for the fourth day in a row. Patience when one-third of the class fails the test. Patience when the text books haven't arrived yet, and the semester starts tomorrow. And
God gave the TEACHER a heart slightly bigger than the average human heart. For the TEACHER's heart had to be big enough to love the kid who screams, "I hate this class-it's boring!" and to love the kid who runs out of the classroom at the end of the period without so much as a"goodbye", let alone a "thank you".
And lastly, God gave the TEACHER an abundant supply of HOPE. For God knew that the TEACHER would always be hoping. Hoping that the kids would someday learn how to spell... hoping not to have lunchroom duty... hoping that Friday would come... hoping for a free day.... hoping for deliverance.
When God finish ed creating the TEACHER, he stepped back and admired the work of his hands. And God saw that the TEACHER was good. Very Good! And God smiled, for when he looked at the TEACHER, he saw into the future.
He knew that the future is in the hands of the TEACHERS.
And because God loves Teachers so much, on the 9th day God created Snow Days

TODAY’S REFLECTION
You have eaten, but have not been satisfied; You have drunk, but have not been exhilarated; have clothed yourselves, but not been warmed; And whoever earned wages earned them for a bag with holes in it
Haggai 1: 1-8
Today’s reading encourage us to reflect on what brings us joy in life. Next time you are feeling down, try this experiment. Think of someone who would benefit from a random act of kindness and do it. It can be the smallest thing. Think of someone you love who needs to hear that and send an email or make a call. Take your kids to the library or a park and let the dishes in the sink wait. Invite your elderly neighbor who doesn’t get out much for a cup of coffee. The possibilities are endless.
Once you’re focusing on bringing joy to someone else, the sun will come out on your own day.
In giving, we receive and what we receive is the gift of joy.
