Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Celebrate today and help someone learn how to read!
We are so blessed to be born in the USA. I know not everyone here can read or write, but I feel we have had a good chance. And if anyone knows someone who can't - then we they should take the time to help them.
I may not remember much, but some of my earliest happy memories were being taught to read ... which resulted in a life-long love of books.
I've no idea how or why, but now I get a daily e-mail "Word of the Day" that explains the definition and has a little audio button to hear it pronounced. (worddaily.com) It's fun, but a little humbling, too, to realize how little I know about our English language.
