Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Celebrate today and plan your own Oktoberfest. There are plenty of good foods to sample!
I would love to go to Oktoberfest, if I had the money. We have a town here in GA, called Helen. It has Oktoberfest the whole month of October too. It is a German city. However, it is a lot of walking, and it is packed - hard to get around.
This time of year, my mother always made hot German potato salad for my father. Truth be told, however, I don't think she was fond of it. Me, not at all, and I don't remember seeing one since 1968. (lol)
I still have her hand-written recipe but can't bring myself to throw it away.
