Today is Palm Sunday which is a Christian feast day that always falls the Sunday before Easter Sunday. It commemorates the triumph entry of Jesus into Jerusalem in the days before the Passion.

In many churches, Palm Sunday is marked by the distribution of palm leaves to the worshippers. 

Celebrate today and go to church, get your palms and sing Hosanna!

If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side

As usual I’ll be watching services on my phone.  For many years I did go to Church services every Sunday. The only times I missed was if I was sick or the weather was bad.  We’d get palms at church and sing Hosanna in the highest waving the palms in the air. Then we took the palms home to display them there.  I used to give each of the kids one to hang in their room.  

I still have mine from last year so I guess I’ll leave it there for another year.  Although we do have palm trees outside that I could go out and cut some of my own.  Still it wouldn’t be the same.

We are to warm back in the 80’s today which is what I prefer.  The 70’s are now on the cool side for me.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

 

Almighty and eternal God,

Protect our military

as they discharge their duties

with the shield of your strength,

may the power of your love

enable them to return home in safety

that with all who love them

they may ever praise you for your loving care.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
