The date for the start of the astronomical spring season each year is called the Vernal Equinox.  The word equinox is derived from the Latin words meaning equal night. The vernal, or spring, equinox is the point at which the Sun appears to cross the celestial equator from south to north, signaling the beginning of nature's renewal in the Northern Hemisphere

The advent of spring contains the promise of renewal, growth, warmth and color.

If I ruled the world, every day would be the first day of Spring.  Spring is so very full of hope and promise.  Spring brings brighter days and warmer weather.  There is nothing quite like the first day of Spring to renew our dreams.

I can't begin to say how thankful I am that Spring has finally arrived.  We would quickly add a lot of celebration to our lives if we would take time to give thanks when God does amazing things for us.   I know I don’t deserve God’s goodness, but I am sure grateful for it.

Each year winter gets harder and harder on me and that makes this Spring more wonderful than ever.

God, I never want to take your goodness for granted, so please help me celebrate all You have done, are doing, and will do in my life. Amen.

I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts.  I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day, 

375.  so very thankful that Spring has come

376. for being able to see the bright side of every day, being optimistic, accenting the positive

377. for new life everywhere

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in

your loving hands.

Protect them as they protect us.

Bless them and their families for the

selfless acts they perform for us

in our time of need. I ask this in the

name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters

and Paramedics and EMT's
