Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Every day I try to do my best. Blessings
I remember having Lincoln's birthday off from school when I was in school (years ago :)
But I agree with you, Ma, I do like honesty in a person; if I realize someone is being dishonest, I too tend to shy away from them.
I too am grateful that there are people who want to be presidents of our country. I might not agree with all of their policies, but it is a job I don't think I would ever want to do!
betty
I agree with you about honesty. No matter if I agree with the person or not I appreciate their honesty!
Oh, MA, what a tribute to a great president.. I have always admired Mr. Lincoln, and have visited Gettysburg twice... to walk where he walked was a privilege.
