INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY

International Mother Language Day was proclaimed by the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO,  in November 1999.  This day promotes the preservation and protection of all languages used by peoples of the world 

All over this diverse world this day is celebrated to promote multilingualism and cultural awesomeness. So speak up in your native language today

I read an article not long ago about how we all have the capabilities to speak all languages.  That is very true when you think about as we are the ones that teach our babies to speak.  They talk in the language they learn.  I'm sorry to say I speak only one language and that is english.  However there are many that know 5 or 6 languages and can not only speak in them, but can read and write them too.  One thing I've noticed is that not all words can mean the same things so it is important to take that into factor when trying to understand others.  

The importance of what we say and how we say it cannot be understated.  

Today's pictures are of some of the fun times we had over this past weekend.  Lunch together on Saturday and going to our Prince Charming's hockey game.

FAITH

Loving God, I am so grateful for the gift of faith.  Strengthen me to live more fully in your love, as shown in the life of Jesus, Your Son.  Amen.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in

your loving hands.

Protect them as they protect us.

Bless them and their families for the

selfless acts they perform for us

in our time of need. I ask this in the

name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters

and Paramedics and EMT's
