When I was in grade school I was always staying after school to help clean the classroom and sometimes going to the convent to clean. I remember one time being asked--along with several other girls--to help wash windows at the convent. I was really excited about it and surprised to see that instead of using Windex and cloths they used water with vinegar in it and dried the windows with newspaper. I ran home to instruct my mom in this new way of cleaning. She often asked what magic there was in cleaning and washing windows at the convent because I certainly wasn't that anxious to clean at home!
