ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO DS#4 AND HIS WIFE TODAY !
An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday and the hopes of tomorrow.
May the dear Lord bless you both today and always !
Today is also Quirky Count Music Song Titles Day! There are lots of country music songs that always put a smile you our faces. Perhaps it’s Johnny Cash’s. ‘Every time I Itch', or Kenny Chesneys’, ‘She Thinks My Tractor is Sexy’, or Homer and Jethro’s, She Made Toothpicks Out Of the Timber of My Heart’.
Country music evolved from Appalachian fold music in the 1920’s and became a nationwide sensation in the 1940’s. The Grand Old Opry radio station in Nashville, Tennessee began broadcasting weekly concerts that showcased different genres of country music — hillbilly, honky ton, bluegrass western, rockabilly, gospel and more.
In honor of today’s reason to celebrate, dust off your favorite country songs and listen all day long!
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A happy marriage is a long conversation that always seems too short.
With all the busyness of the past week, I forgot to get a card in the mail to this son and a DIL, but they are definitely not forgotten. A belated card will be sent but this post will have to suffice as far as Anniversary wishes go for today. I’m usually on track and keep an eye on the calendar, but not this time. I do apologize and send the very best of a wishes for a happy anniversary to both of them. I dislike the fact we are so far away, but on the bright side I was there for their wedding day !
Country music is a favorite of mine, mostly because a lot of them are soothing and relaxing. Although I do like many other kinds of music, it’s at the top of my list. Many times it does include songs about real life and love. I’ll never forget Willie Nelson’s, ‘You Are Always on My Mind’, and ‘Crazy’ by Patsy Cline.
I am thankful that my children were all able to find love and their soul mates. I had a wonderful marriage and hoped that all of my children would have the same. It’s makes a mom feel good that her children are happy.
I was able to get my flat tire repaired yesterday. Apparently the seal around the rim was leaking and the tire itself was ok. I’m so thankful it wasn’t the tire that needed replacing.
Today and the next few days we’ll be seeing rain here, but at least it is not snow. Even though it’s not April quite yet, I always remember the old saying, April Showers bring May flowers… and some really good country songs about rain too.
Rain can be a metaphor for hardships and something to overcome … ‘ Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head'... Go away and come some other day...
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Newlyweds become oldyweds, and the oldyweds are the reasons that families work.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5833. for DS#4 and his wife, it’s their anniversary
5834. for rain, it makes the green things grow
5835. for country songs that inspire my heart
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
