ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

10 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER
Life is a Special Occasion!
Today is National Making Life Beautiful Day which s a day dedicated to encouraging and celebrating men and women who are making life beautiful. Whether you’re creating beauty through building relationships or helping others achieve personal success, one small action can lead to a ripple effect, making life beautiful not just for yourself, but for those around you, too.
Help someone you know to achieve a personal goal, donate time to a worthy cause, help someone less fortunate or just do something nice for someone.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Everyone needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and cheer and give strength to body and soul alike.
It was a beautiful day yesterday with temps mid 80’s and low humidity and I got to go to one of my grandsons T ball game. That is what the pictures are of today. And it’s supposed to be another beautiful day today, but we are to be unusually warm. After so many chilly and rainy days the sun is going to shine and we’ll be in the 90’s they say.
As always I’m off to church later on this morning and then home for a day of relaxation and rest. I’ve got a special project in mind, so I may start on that but it’s one of those relaxing things to do so it won’t be work at all.
Strange to even think about trying to keep cool on a hot sunny day, but here we are, hot, and I’m sure I’ll be appreciating all the lovely shade trees that surround my house. Take care all, enjoy the sun but don’t overdo it. Keep cool and take it easy.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
It’s National Corn On The Cob Day encourages us to celebrate and enjoy this tasty summer time treat.
Millions of people love sweet corn on the cob. As summer nears, we can't wait to bring out the salt and pepper, and boil, steam or grill some fresh, sweet, corn on the cob.
To make sure corn is fresh before you buy, peel back the tips on the husks slightly and take a peek. The kernels should be plump and intact, not dried out or missing altogether
Parmesan Corn on the Cob
4 hot cooked ears corn on the cob
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. grated Parmesan Cheese
4 fresh lime wedges
Spread corn with butter, sprinkle with cheese and serve with lime wedges to squeeze over corn. This recipe is for 4 servings.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Beauty is the gift of God.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4972. for a beautiful day
4973. for corn, fresh on the cob is best
4974. for all those that help others, what you give always comes back
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
