For Labor Day, Monday, September 7th, 2015
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2015
16 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise: 7:01 am
Sunset: 7:54 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Labor Day is always the first Monday in September. Dedicated in honor of the worker, it is also appropriately called the workingman's holiday. The holiday is dedicated to you in respect and appreciation for the work you do in or outside of the home. As long as you work somewhere at something, this holiday is for you!
Many people celebrate this weekend with one last picnic. It is also the date that many people close up the pool, and put away the boats.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The difference between work and play is only a matter
of attitude. Work, fully done, is play.
Gerald G. May
Labor Day is a celebration of the end of summer here at my house. Summer has been showing us just how hot it can get around here, so it’s definitely still in full swing, at least for a few more days.
I like to think that there is no greater joy than that of a Labor of Love, so while I don’t go out to work each day anymore, there are many little things I do love to do and those are what I call my labors of love.
The picture above is the view out my kitchen window where I can see the Rose of Sharon bushes in full bloom. They are a welcome sight each day.
Happy Labor Day everyone ! I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week! Happy Monday!
