If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
How a hat makes you feel is what a hat is all about.
A party hat is generally a playful conical hat made with a rolled up piece of thin cardboard, usually with designs printed on the outside and a long string of elastic going from one side of the cone's bottom to another to secure the cone to the person's head
Its name originates with its use: Party hats are worn most often at birthday parties, especially by the guest of honor, with a significant minority being worn for New Year celebrations. The party hat has its origins in the dunce cap in the mid 19th century. Strange as the dunce cap was worn by a student that had gotten into trouble.
I’m going to pretend to put my party hat on and celebrate today. Warmer weather is supposed to be headed our way. Looking ahead to the weekend they say a January thaw is headed our way.
The hat I’m wearing in the first picture was a gift for my birthday last year. I keep it hanging here at home on the coatrack to remind me that every day is one to celebrate !
I won’t mind saying good bye to some of this snow.
I hope you all have a great day ! Happy Thursday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Life’s a party. Celebrate !
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2402. for hats to keep me warm and for hats that are fun
2403. for a January thaw coming our way
2404. for the gift of a new day, a reason to celebrate !
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
