ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SATURDAY, JANUARY 3RD, 2015
76 DAYS UNTIL SPRING
Sunrise: 7:54 am
Sunset: 5:11 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Today is the Festival of Sleep Day. It is an opportunity to sleep in, snooze, doze, nap, and catch 40 winks. The holidays are over and it's cold outside.... time to hibernate. And, why not recharge the batteries as a new year of school and work begins? Cozy up in bed, on the couch, or any other comfortable place.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The two best physicians of them all -- Dr. Laughter and Dr. Sleep.
Gregory Dean Jr.
I do hibernate most of the winter and rarely go out unless it is necessary. I probably sleep more than is needed too. Days when the sunshine comes out though, I do feel more invigorated and sleep less.
A good nights sleep is important for all of us and a nap now and then is wonderful too. It’s been a busy time of it for me this week with family activities. Tomorrow will probably be the first of many days to come though when all will be quiet here. I’ve enjoyed all the good times and will miss them when they are gone, but I’m looking forward to my Sunday afternoon nap tomorrow.
We have a winter weather advisory for freezing rain here. Take good care every one !
I hope you all have a super Saturday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings…
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2366. for naps and a good nights sleep
2367. for a few sunny days to perk me up
2368. for blessings to count when I can’t sleep
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Have courage for the great sorrows of life, and patience for the small ones. When you have laboriously accomplished your daily tasks, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
