ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MONDAY, JULY 22ND, 2013
64 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise: 6:13 am
Sunset: 8:56 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
July 22nd is Hammock Day, a grand occasion for swinging gently in the shade, coddled by a gentle summer breeze.
We all need empty hours in our lives or we will have no time to create or dream.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The real problem of leisure time is how to keep others from using yours.
Many people go back to work on Mondays so lounging around isn't an option, but there may be some time in the evening where you can take time out to lie in a hammock. I don't have one here but do enjoy my rocking chair or the porch swing.
It's always a good thing to relax for a while. I had a busy weekend here so today I'm going to be taking time just to relax. Saturday I had our little AB and Mr. Wonderful over stay for a few hours and Sunday was our monthly family dinner. All good things but they did keep me busier than I've been in awhile.
Thankfully the heat advisories have gone by the wayside and I may be able to return to the gentle breezes on the front porch today and just sit in the swing and dream awhile.
Hope your Monday is a wonderful one!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
What we are is God's gift to us. What we become is our gift to God.
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
784. for leisure time
785. for gentle summer breezes
786. for a few hours spent with family
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
